If I have the choice to turn back time and undo my mistakes, I will choose not to. And even if I have the choice to fast forward to the future where I see myself filled with His promises in me, I will choose not to as well. My past is what brings me to the person who I am now. Even if I can turn back time and undo those mistakes, I do not think that I was mature enough to make the right choices for my life. Through life experiences, I learn to handle situations and have come to realise that putting God first in everything, makes a whole lot of difference.
And as to why I do not want to fast forward my life to see the future God has reserved for me, is because it will be a really sad thing to not be able to embrace the beauty of every day life that is in store for me. I once said that God is in our present life and quoted from the bible. To be able to enjoy every single moment with Him in my daily life, is something I do not ever want to miss. It is this exact moment that is so precious to the Lord and me when I have nothing great to boast and really treasure His presence in my life knowing that He will bring something great for me in the future.
Psalm 27:13-14 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen you heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
It can get tiring at times when troubles come disturbing my inner peace, but the strength does not comes from me. It comes from God and this strength makes me treasure this very day of my present life with the Lord knowing He will never fail me. Because He loves me, He will keep me safe and get me out of trouble and even make my enemies cower in fear because He is the living mighty powerful God.
James 5:7-8 “Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
I love how this verse relates it with the farmer. I do envy how farmers live their life just focusing and giving such tender care on their fields worrying only about food and survival and not much of the other worldly stuff. It may seem like a boring “doing the same thing” life, but these farmers know that waiting and just doing the same thing everyday will allow their field to prosper and bear good fruits. This actually makes me think that even I, can bear good fruits just by waiting and enjoying my every single moment of my days doing the same routine every day. Our God is a God full of unlimited blessings. He bless the farmers, me and you as well. Just embrace the beauty of life He has given you and make every moment of it counts. Do not worry about the mistakes from the past, because He has forgiven all your sins at the cross. What you do in the present define who you are. Do it together with Daddy God, ask Him for guidance and all will be well. God bless you
